Online psychiatric care anywhere in Virginia

Our psychiatric nurse practitioner and therapist are licensed across Virginia. Video visits work from Northern Virginia to Richmond, Hampton Roads, Charlottesville, the Shenandoah Valley and Southwest Virginia.

How video visits work

  1. Book online or by text and choose a video slot; evening times are available.
  2. You'll receive a secure link by text before the visit. You need a phone, tablet or computer with a camera, and a private place to talk.
  3. The visit is the same as in person: a full evaluation the first time, follow-ups after.
  4. Prescriptions go to your local pharmacy electronically. Labs, when needed, can be drawn at a lab near you or at a VPMC office.

What suits video, and what doesn't

Anxiety, depression, insomnia, stress, medication follow-ups and therapy work well by video. Some evaluations and some medications need an in-person visit at least once; we'll tell you at booking. You must be physically in Virginia at the time of the visit.

If you are in crisis, video care is not the right place: call or text 988 or call 911.

Most new patients are seen within 14 days, in person or by video.
